Should students with a disability be integrated in a "regular" classroom?

As The Inclusivity Team, we collectively decided to take on and tackle this controversial topic and associative question because of how important special education is to us.  Each of us not only has educational backgrounds in psychology, biology, child development, and special education as they encompass disabilities, but we also have extensive work and voluntary experience with the disabled population.  As a result, we have experienced firsthand both inclusion and exclusion within educational facilities and, in turn, are ultimately determined to advocate for the best option for our children and future students.

Through this, we have collaborated to bring forth a thorough, detailed, all-encompassing, and unique set of perspectives, as well as an honest account of the inclusivity of students with disabilities in the classroom.  Moreover, we hope to educate and inspire you in a way whereby you too can work towards developing and implementing a positive change in the lives of the students of tomorrow.

Welcome to our website!

Here we will challenge the idea of including disabled students in regular education classrooms through a multitude of media.  Within it, you will not only be able to find information for inclusivity and information against it, but you will also be able to experience what it is like to possess a disability.  Additionally, you will be able to find a section retelling a bit of the history regarding inclusive classrooms, a section on key terms to assist you in bettering your understanding of the topic, and finally, sections on references used throughout the context of this website, as well as additional resources (including articles, books, and videos alike) to further your learning.  Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to come forth using the contact form located under “More”.

Thank you kindly for your visit,
